Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this full-time position is (84,000 - )138,000, plus benefits and bonus opportunities. Salary offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, ensuring fairness and internal equity. - Expertise in Biological Resource Assessments, CEQA/NEPA analyses, and wetland delineations.
- Strong project management skills with experience in Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and Coastal Act projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and regulatory agency interactions.
- Ability to provide technical direction to staff and subcontractors.
- Proficient in quality assurance and control (QA/QC) for technical reports, budgets, and schedules.
- Business development acumen for client outreach and proposal writing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality technical studies and environmental documents.
- Identify optimal permitting pathways for complex projects.
- Conduct fieldwork essential for biological documentation.
- Lead biological permitting projects independently.
- Coordinate project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Engage in client outreach and participate in securing new business opportunities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive and successful environmental consulting experience.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology (or equivalent), or a PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record of supervising employees and building positive relationships.
- Expertise in regulatory permitting and compliance oversight.
