Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Architect/Engineer AI to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions that enable AI-driven and digital transformation in a federal agency. This role also requires deep expertise in cloud architecture, enterprise systems design, and modern development practices, with a focus on enabling innovation and operational efficiency.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions that align with business and digital transformation goals.
  • Translate functional requirements into scalable and maintainable architectures.
  • Cloud & Platform Engineering:
  • Architect cloud-native solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Define infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines to support agile delivery.
  • Lead hands-on design and development of enterprise-grade systems and platforms.
  • Ensure systems are resilient, secure, and optimized for performance and cost.
  • Implement microservices-based architectures and containerization strategies.
  • Promote DevOps practices including automation, monitoring, and continuous integration.
  • Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to ensure architectural alignment.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 year of-experience planning, designing, migrating, building, and/or integrating cloud- based RPA/AI project implementations in the commercial or government sector
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert).
  • Proven experience in solution and cloud architecture, including multi-tier and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on expertise in designing enterprise-grade systems with high availability and scalability.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and DevOps practices (CI/CD, container orchestration, etc.
  • Familiarity with healthcare application ecosystems, including interoperability and compliance standards.
  • Understanding of AI/ML model infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Technically curious and passionate about innovation.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across technical and business teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
