Job Title: Shopify App Registration Specialist (Freelance/Project-Based)

Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated development professional to transform our existing Ruby on Rails web application into a fully registered Shopify App, tailored for the Japanese market. This project-based role is initially focused on completing the Shopify App registration process. However, there is potential for extended involvement in innovative product development projects on a mid-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Modify the existing Ruby on Rails-based web application to comply with Shopify App requirements.

Oversee the complete registration process of the app on the Shopify App Store, ensuring adherence to all relevant guidelines and best practices.

Collaborate with our team, which will provide the necessary text and image creatives for the app listing.

Demonstrate a proactive approach in addressing any uncertainties during the registration process, including technical or operational challenges.

Work remotely, managing your own schedule to deliver high-quality results by the project’s timeline (target completion in March).

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Ruby on Rails development.

Prior experience with Shopify App registration and a strong understanding of the registration requirements.

Familiarity with Shopify API and Rapid API is a plus, though not a primary requirement.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills in English (Business level required).

Experience with version control and CI/CD practices is beneficial, though our current system lacks formal processes.

Project Details:

Project Duration: Target completion by the end of March. The timeline is flexible, as cost and quality are prioritized over speed.

Employment Type: Freelance or project-based engagement with the potential for longer-term involvement in future product development initiatives.
