Job Description

These job requirements allow the employee to work at a Lockheed Martin-designated office or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined regular, recurring telework schedule for the remaining part of their work schedule. What We're Doing Performs a variety of cross-functional administrative and analytical tasks to ensure coordination of material with manufacturing production plans and schedules, such as purchases and tracks materials and supplies, expedites flow of material, and develops and secures supplier requirement data. Interacts with internal customers and outside suppliers regarding production planning, material flow, problem resolution, and production improvement. Conducts analysis and develops information using cross-functional MRP system. THE WORK

Responsibilities

Include

  • As part of the Delivery Assurance Team within Supply Chain, interface and coordinate with supplier or group of suppliers to ensure the input of accurate and reliable commit dates into the SDS Portal.
  • Work with Suppliers to develop recovery and mitigation plans for commits that do not support Aircraft delivery and milestone plans. Follow established standard work to document issues related to the delivery of material and escalate when course of action will not mitigate the shortage.
  • Travel to suppliers as required. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment, maintain effective communication with internal customers while being detail oriented.

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
  • Candidate will be interacting with all levels of the organization and must have strong organization and communication skills.
  • Candidate should be team oriented and a highly motivated self-starter, able to think and operate independently.
