YouTube Educational Video Creator - Florida (Contract)

Study.com is seeking energetic and engaging Florida-certified teachers to record short, high-quality videos for our FTCE YouTube channel. Our YouTube content creators are passionate about education and equipping educators with the tools they need to be successful. In this role, you’ll create high-quality videos that appeal to our target audience and include Study.com branding. No video editing is required. This is an online, remote, contract role. All work is paid per piece. Project Description Our FTCE-certified teachers create bite-size videos about FTCE exams, sharing their own experience and providing informational overviews. You’ll be given a video outline or script to create videos that provide tips and strategies to help future teachers pass their exams. This is an on-screen video creator role. Candidates must be certified to teach in Florida, have teaching experience, and submit a sample video in order to be considered for this project. Candidates who do not submit a sample video will not be considered. We are particularly looking for teachers qualified in math, history/social studies, science, and ELA.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has a passion for education and a knack for clear and engaging communication. This role involves creating high-quality videos that are less than 10 minutes long, with no video editing required.

• Choose the topic of your video from a list of options
• Create engaging, step-by-step videos teaching students how to understand & solve sample test problems (digital whiteboard style)
• Create scripted videos that are natural and relatable
• Share your own experience passing Florida teacher certification exams

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in any subject
• Experience: Florida teaching license and classroom teaching
• Equipment: Microphone, camera, and digital writing pad/stylus
• Skills: Create high-quality videos (no video editing skills/software required)
• Competencies:
• Ability to explain complex concepts in simple and engaging manner
• Ability to work independently (this is a remote contract role)
• Comfortable and confident on camera
• Communication: Responds professionally to feedback in a timely manner

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Video content creation for social media platforms
• Strong understanding of teacher certification exams and test prep
• Previous experience creating educational video content

Applications without a sample video that includes the following will not be considered:

• You must be visible and speaking on-screen during some or all of the video.
• Video and audio quality must be acceptable.
