Phlebotomist Tech I/ Courier- ACC-Lab Description: Correctly performs patient identification, venipuncture/capillary collection technique, and specimen labeling Performs specimen processing functions accurately and efficiently Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures Laboratory Competency and Education Requirements Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems Ability to read at a high school level Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to effectively implement written and oral instructions Ability to appropriately encounter individuals (patients, visitors, coworkers, medical staff and others) in a variety of situations and circumstances Current Drivers License with no major citations, able to be covered under AMC auto insurance Encouraged to become certified by ASCP or a similar qualifying agency (qualification determined by the Administrative Director) after one year of experience at JDAMH Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Current Driver's License Successful completion of in-house training Perks/Benefits: (for eligible employees): Have optimal opportunity for career growth within our growing organization Medical / Dental Retirement Plan PTO and paid life insurance What Sets Us Apart Archbold Medical Center is a four-hospital, four-nursing-home health system with 540 patient beds.
