In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the health and well-being of employees within various occupational settings. Role and responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans based on clients' needs. • Provide clinical social work services to individuals, families, and groups. • Offer therapeutic interventions and counselling to address mental health and emotional challenges. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support multidisciplinary treatment plans. • Advocate for clients and assist them in accessing community resources. • Diagnose and treat psychological disorders within a family context • Guide clients through transitional crises such as divorce or death • Highlight problematic relational or behavioral patterns • Help replace dysfunctional behaviours with healthy alternatives Licensing Requirements: • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification. After earning a master's degree in social work, passing the applicable social work exam from the Association of Social Work Board open_in_new (ASWB), and meeting any additional state requirements for social work licensure, graduates are then able to obtain a LCSW license in their state. Education: • Bachelor’s Degree: Obtain a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. While a degree in social work (BSW) is beneficial, it is not mandatory for admission to a Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree: Complete a Master of Social Work (MSW) program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
