Job Title: Internship - Knowledge Science Number of Positions: 12 Location: Okemos, MI Location Specifics: Hybrid Position Job Summary: This internship is scheduled to start Summer Semester 2025. We are looking for a highly talented and motivated undergraduate student who is pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields. As a Knowledge Science Intern, you will: Work on cutting-edge knowledge-based computation platforms Contribute to next-generation Al-enabled business rules frameworks, including Decision Modeling/Orchestration, Decision as a Service (DaaS), Domain Specific Language (DSL), etc. Gain first-hand experience on modern system architecture, such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and enabling technology such as REST, JSON, Kafka, containerization, etc. Apply the fundamentals from Computer Science/Engineering curriculum onto real-world problems. Communicate your work to other teams and develop your skills explaining technical subjects to a business audience A successful candidate will: Be self-motivated and able to contribute in a team setting Excel at problem solving, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills Have demonstrated experience programming in at least one of the mainstream languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc. Show solid skills in data structure and algorithms design/analysis Have good understanding of software architecture, Object-Oriented (00) analysis/design, and commonly-used design patterns such as factory, composite, etc. Demonstrate understanding of core mathematical concepts for Computer Science, such as mathematical logic, set theory, etc. #LI-Hybrid Minimum Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and have completed at least one course or equivalent experience with programming in Java, Python, C++, or other similar languages.
