As a Customer Service Representative (Healthcare) at HR Service Jobs, you will be an integral part of our remote team, providing exceptional customer support to individuals seeking assistance with healthcare-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries related to healthcare services, benefits, and policies.
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding healthcare plans, eligibility, and coverage details.
  • Assist customers with navigating their healthcare accounts, billing inquiries, and claims status.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any ongoing issues.
  • Document interactions accurately in the system and escalate unresolved matters to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare regulations and policies to offer the most current and accurate information.
  • Adhere to company guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and customer service standards at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in healthcare, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or call center environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor when dealing with healthcare-related inquiries.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in handling medical claims, insurance inquiries, or working with healthcare-related services is highly preferred.
  • Previous work-from-home experience is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with flexible working hours.
  • Must be available to work a standard 40-hour week with varying shifts, including weekends if necessary.
  • Shifts are based on customer demand and may change according to business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, insurance policies, and regulations.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle difficult customer situations professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple inquiries efficiently.
  • Ability to navigate various software systems to input and retrieve customer data.
