Responsibilities - Provide outstanding customer service to patients and families during telephone, email, and virtual interactions. - Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups for behavioral health services. - Obtain and verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring accurate data entry into the system. - Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide appropriate resources as needed. - Facilitate communication between patients and behavioral health providers, ensuring timely responses to inquiries. - Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. - Maintain accurate patient charts and records, ensuring seamless transitions between care providers. - Support the administrative team with additional tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare or behavioral health preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service. - Ability to empathize with patients and maintain a supportive environment. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems. - Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. - 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred. - Knowledge of behavioral health terminology and services is a plus. - Familiarity with insurance processes and healthcare regulations preferred.
