[Remote] Sr. Enterprise Cloud Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Optomi, in partnership with a leading medical center, is seeking an experienced Sr. Enterprise Cloud Engineer to join their team remotely. This individual will serve as the primary AWS resource within the organization, responsible for building out AWS capabilities, establishing cloud tooling and governance standards, and aligning AWS environments with existing Azure infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary AWS subject matter expert for the organization
- Design, build, and support AWS cloud environments and services
- Establish AWS tooling, frameworks, and governance processes
- Align AWS capabilities with existing Azure infrastructure and tooling
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud solutions
- Support CI/CD and SDLC processes using GitHub Enterprise Cloud
- Participate in peer reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning
- Educate and mentor team members on AWS best practices and tooling
- Drive cloud modernization and multi-cloud consistency initiatives
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure scalable and secure cloud adoption
Skills
- Strong AWS background with experience building and supporting AWS environments
- Experience with cloud governance, standards, and best practices
- Proficiency with GitHub Enterprise Cloud
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small team environment
- Independent thinker with strong ownership mentality
- Multi-cloud experience (AWS and Azure)
- Experience with Flexoraq Connect
- Python experience
