Social Media Channel Operations Manager- REMOTE EU

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Social Media Channel Operations Manager to join their team

  • Ensure the operations of the regional social media channels run smoothly, e.g. ensure everything happens on time, no mistakes are made, check if everything is done in line with processes (e.g. approvals, Sprinklr tagging, responding to relevant comments within SLA, etc.). Flag if any issues are detected and collaborate with the relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Receive & review proposals from markets for publications about local activities. If relevant collaborate with social media manager and market team to include in the content calendar
  • Coordinate with the other regions and global team in case of coordinated publications
  • Coordinate approvals for social media posts and other proposals with the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Be the contact for the social media managers managing the channels & ensure they share learnings between each other, stay up to date on developments in the industry, etc.
  • Represent the social media managers in wider meetings or projects relevant to them, e.g. making sure their needs are considered in projects that will impact them, regularly meet with with other teams whose work impacts them to ensure they know what's happening, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders, e.g. Influence, Paid, agencies, etc.
  • Answer stakeholders' questions & manage the team e-mail inbox
  • Administrative tasks on the social media channels (e.g. reviewing settings regularly, reviewing access, check if anything needs to be updated, etc.)
  • Stay on top of the team's capacity to ensure the workload is evenly divided and ensure any absences can be covered in the team
  • Review reports provided by the agency and provide feedback as needed together with the social media managers
  • Coordinate inputs needed from agencies (e.g. performance reports, social listening needed to inform strategy, etc.)
  • Support the Social Director in other operational topics, e.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 6-8 years experience in social media management, preferably for big, complex corporations
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage the operations of multiple accounts simultaneously while working with various teams and maintaining deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional & virtual teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, e.g. ensuring all approvals are obtained on time, there are no typos, etc.
  • Excellent people skills, incl. working in virtual teams with many stakeholders
  • Enjoys taking ownership over their area of responsibility and is reliable in delivering their scope
  • Fluent in English. Does not have to be a native speaker.
  • Understanding of how the various social media platforms work, including staying up to date on new developments
  • Optional:

Experience with using Sprinklr to check other people's work (e.g. if they applied the right tags, if all messages are answered, etc.). No technical skills needed as we have a dedicated team for that. Apply To This Job
