Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Prescription Data Entry Technician to join our Specialty Pharmacy team in Scottsdale, AZ. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription data entry, while providing exceptional support to our patients and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

* Accurately and efficiently enter prescription data into our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

  • Review and verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness, including patient demographics, medication orders, and dosing instructions
  • Collaborate with our clinical team to resolve prescription-related issues and ensure timely delivery of medications to patients
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices in prescription data entry
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of prescription data entry

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, pharmacy technology) preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in prescription data entry or a related field (e.g., medical records, pharmacy operations)
  • Strong understanding of prescription data entry principles, including regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a specialty pharmacy or healthcare setting

  • Certification in pharmacy technology or a related field (e.g., Certified Pharmacy Technician, Certified Medical Records Specialist)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Experience with electronic health record systems, including Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and ICD-10
