We boldly go. Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) Essential Functions: Loading and unloading parts on the paint conveyance system, inspection of parts. Burn off oven and sanding table operation. Movement of material in and out of the area. Properly maintain system settings and equipment for areas assigned. Education: High school diploma or GED Certifications: Forklift, if necessary Quality Metric: Scrap Dollars Rejected or reworked painted parts Minimum Qualifications Comfortable with using computer (email, data entry, and touch screens for equipment) Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process Successful completion of introductory period (6 months) Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems Follows rules of conduct at all times Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work Understands the importance of safety, quality, delivery and cost Responsive to internal and external customer needs Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months) Able to properly inspect, load and unload the paint system Able to properly prepare parts for the paint system (sanding, plugging, eye bolts, etc) Able to load, unload and operate the burn-off oven Understand and follow the work instructions and quality standards for the department Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs) Qualified Level: Primary focus is performing the essential duties of the position Is committed to a continuous self-development plan Supports team and cross functional activities Competent use of the 9 Step Problem Solving Process Pursues process improvements Certifies others to standard work Sets-up processes without assistance Works to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost Understands area quality requirements Painter Premium will be applicable when qualified to paint in the booth independently, with autos on –Chad to review with Lonny to ensure this is accurate and they are aligned. Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $17.55 - $20.53 Compensation Type: Hourly Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
