Description:

Implement web updates and design features based on briefs from the Web Designer and Communications team.
Build new WordPress modules for events, blog posts, publications, and partner engagement.
Ensure the website is responsive, mobile-friendly, and optimised for performance.
Manage plugins, perform regular maintenance, and apply critical security updates.
Troubleshoot backend bugs and deliver efficient, well-documented fixes.
Collaborate with Communications, Web Designer, and IT teams to test and deploy new features.
Monitor performance benchmarks and recommend technical improvements.
Ensure compliance with accessibility requirements, data privacy (e.g., GDPR), and web standards.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in WordPress development and custom theme editing.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
Understanding of hosting environments, DNS, and content delivery (CDN).
Knowledge of responsive design, SEO, and basic web analytics.
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working independently, managing deadlines, and collaborating across time zones.
Remote availability and ability to coordinate with international teams.
Position is volunteer (unpaid); willing to contribute in a non-paid capacity.
