Marketing Agency Account Director (Health Tech, Biotech)

Our experts are renowned for moving minds and driving a better healthcare ecosystem for all. We’re looking for a dynamic Account Manager to join our team. We are continuing our growth! We are looking for our next new team member who can join our team and contribute to our incredible, innovative, dynamic client services. The Account Director is the principal contact between the agency and the client and is responsible for ensuring all deliverables are met. This team member works cross-functionally to develop and execute communications, marketing, and PR strategies and tactics that help our clients reach their goals. If you are an exceptional project manager who can prioritize and organize, delegate and communicate, and can herd cats, — we’re going to get along really well. KNB Communications is 100% remote. You can work from anywhere as long as you have dependable internet and are willing to keep central or east coast hours. Roles and responsibilities: 1. Client management + communication

  • Own the success of the accounts you manage, ensuring deliverables, creating strategic direction, and meeting client’s goals and expectations
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, industry leaders, freelancers, KNB vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm in client communications
  • Offer new ideas and initiatives to the team
  • Run biweekly and ad hoc client meetings
  • Own project trackers and update them weekly
  • Onboard new clients
  • Create timelines and project trackers for new accounts

2. Client service delivery

  • Direct account support (PR, marketing, freelancers, etc.) to secure deliverables
  • Set and influence multi-faceted strategy
  • Define KPIs for accounts and communicate the status
  • Ensure scopes of work are on track and on time

3. KNB operations

  • Maintain a strong contribution margin per account
  • Look for opportunities to upsell
  • Report account standing and deliverable status to clients
  • Track account expenses and update invoice sheet
  • Assist with new business research, proposal writing, and presentations as needed.

We understand no candidate checks every single box. That’s why we’ve divided our list into “must have” and “nice to have.” Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a marketing or communications field
  • 10+ years of PR/marketing/communications project management experience
  • Strategic planner and effective implementer
  • Ability to maintain and foster relationships with clients and team members
  • Deadline-driven and understand how to prioritize and adapt under pressure
  • Knowledge of best practices in the marketing, communications, media/PR space
  • Collaborative, creative, and cool under pressure

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in healthcare, heath tech, pharma, and/or life sciences
  • Agency experience
  • Experience with software such as Muck Rack, Cision, PR Newswire, SEM Rush, and HubSpot
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance challenges for drug commercialization and HIPPA

Location

  • This position is 100% Remote.
  • KNB Communications is based in Stamford, CT.
  • Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm ET.
