About the Role

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems that drive business value across our organization. You will work closely with our Information Item Supervisors, Information Draftsmen, and Information Specialists to design, execute, and deliver effective data solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise will be critical in helping us to achieve our goals of delivering high-quality data products and services that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and build scalable data systems using Scala, Python, and other programming languages

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
• Implement Lakehouse engineering, working with key partners to move towards a Lakehouse-driven data stage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and deliver effective data solutions
• Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance
• Ensure high functional proficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients
• Participate in agile/scrum practices to ensure safety and collaboration upgrades for your team
• Act as a problem solver, researching and organizing to find solutions to new challenges
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and streamline costs
• Engage with and understand our clients, forming relationships that enable us to understand and focus on both innovative new offerings and steady platform upgrades

Required Education, Experience, Abilities, and Training

* Strong algorithmic thinking ability

• Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
• Active experience with deployed frameworks, such as Spark and PySpark, to query and handle data
• Strong key Scala and Python programming skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
• Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (ideally Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
• Strong experience with data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and composing and maintaining data pipelines with Databricks
• Experience in data modeling procedures and data warehousing standard approaches and practices
• Familiarity with Scrum and Spry approaches
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate with others and build consensus in a cross-functional team towards an ideal outcome

Required Education

* Four-year degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
