Experienced Healthcare Customer Service Representative – Remote Opportunity

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and patient-centric Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for resolving patient balances, managing assigned inventory, and providing exceptional support to patients and guarantors. You'll work closely with our clients to ensure timely and compliant resolution of balances, while maintaining a patient-centric approach that balances speed and efficiency with empathy and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Field inbound patient calls, insurance carrier, attorney, and non-self pay related calls in a professional, patient-centric manner

  • Manage assigned inventory through the proper and timely cycling of dispositional segments within arenaflex or the client's software solution(s)
  • Consistently meet total touches per day targets for both patients and guarantors, as determined by the assigned segment of A/R and other client nuances and considerations
  • Accurately set up payment plans with patients per client guidelines
  • Secure payments and partial payments with patients per client guidelines
  • Perform account research and resolution on self-pay, FAP, and insurance topics in a timely and results-oriented fashion
  • Consistently document all patient encounters in the hospital's source system and/or arenaflex's workflow solution
  • Perform initial assessments for financial assistant programs per client guidelines

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong patient-centric customer service skills, with the ability to balance speed and efficiency with empathy and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, leaders, and staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • HIPAA and related privacy and security acts and regulations knowledge
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Familiarity with healthcare software solutions and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and make sound decisions
  • Experience working with patients and guarantors in a customer service role
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

* Competitive hourly rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
