About the position Mainspring is seeking a highly motivated, business-minded Environmental Analyst to join our Environmental Permitting & Compliance team. You will be a critical member of Mainspring’s organization, helping ensure our operations remain compliant and scalable as we grow. • Support the coordination and execution of Source Testing activities, including scheduling, contractor management, protocol review support, and site logistics
  • Track and analyze source testing results, flagging potential compliance risks and ensuring accurate internal and external reporting
  • Coordinate Portable Analyzer Checks and support the development of digital tools to simplify and standardize field documentation
  • Coordinate and track maintenance and part replacement schedules for environmental control equipment and monitoring instruments
  • Help elevate environmental compliance capability across the organization by developing clear guidance, documentation, and training materials for operational teams
  • Contribute to the development of internal playbooks and best practices to support compliance execution at scale

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in environmental compliance, air quality management, environmental permitting, or regulatory affairs
  • Working knowledge of air quality regulations and programs (e.g., Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, Clean Air Act, CARB requirements including PERP and CARB DG)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
