Technician, Finance (12-month contract)
Saputo Inc. is a leading global dairy processor that values contributions and fosters an inclusive work environment. The Accounting Technician will assist the finance team with basic accounting tasks, ensuring accurate records related to warehousing, distribution, and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain commission files to ensure accurate documentation
- Assist in preparing weekly financial summaries, compiling data for internal reporting
- Enter and organize accounting data for monthly financial statements
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in accounting systems
- Provide assistance with budget preparation by helping to collect and organize financial information
- Support the accounting team in daily tasks, such as document verification, and basic reconciliations
- Perform other related duties as required, contributing to the smooth functioning of the Supply Chain finance department
Skills
- College diploma in accounting, administration or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in French and English is required, as the person will need to communicate with colleagues across different regions of Canada
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Ability to multi-task independently or as part of a team
- Ability to process information quickly under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of BI, Maestro and SAP (asset)
