Job Overview: We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Remote Customer Service Team. In this position, you’ll assist United Airlines customers with bookings, travel changes, policies, and general inquiries. You will represent United’s trusted brand while delivering service that reflects our core values of Caring, Excellence, and Innovation. This is a 100% remote, work-from-home position with full training provided. You’ll need a quiet workspace, strong internet, and a passion for helping people. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls, live chat, and email messages from customers.
  • Assist passengers with new reservations, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Provide accurate information about baggage policies, COVID guidelines, seat upgrades, and more.
  • Respond professionally to service concerns or disruptions, providing solutions and empathy.
  • Use United’s internal booking and support software to process changes and issue updates.
  • Escalate complex or emergency issues to specialized departments when necessary.
  • Log interactions accurately and follow company standards for data security and privacy.
  • Stay informed about updates to travel policies, loyalty programs, and customer experience enhancements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center, airline, hospitality preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM and comfortable navigating digital tools.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in fast-paced or stressful situations.
  • Able to work independently and be self-motivated in a remote setup.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
  • Must pass a background check and eligibility verification to work in the U.S.

Work Schedule & Availability:

  • Shifts available 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Full-time and part-time schedules (minimum 20 hours/week for part-time).
  • Flexibility preferred, especially during peak travel seasons.
  • Shift scheduling is posted weekly; opportunities for overtime available.

Work-From-Home Requirements:

  • Quiet, distraction-free work environment.
  • Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps).
  • Personal computer with updated operating system OR company-issued equipment (provided after hire for some roles).
  • USB headset with microphone (can be company-provided).
  • Webcam for virtual training and team meetings.

Training Program:

  • Paid remote training provided upon hire (3–4 weeks).
  • Training includes:
  • United booking system
  • Conflict resolution & empathy training
  • Customer data management
  • Airline compliance protocols
  • Conducted via Zoom or proprietary training platform.
  • Weekly progress check-ins and live instructor sessions.
