SUMMARY

The IT Services Intern will…

  • Resolve technical problems in a service desk environment while utilizing customer service and technical knowledge gained from prior experience
  • Provide basic technical support services to Hollister Associates globally via the phone, email, and remote tools ensuring that service levels are achieved and that all customer expectations are met or exceeded
  • Document computer related problems and provides basic troubleshooting solutions as appropriate, escalating to more senior IT Services and Support technicians/specialists as needed
  • Work to ensure that defined metrics and benchmarks are met or exceeded
  • Follow standards and processes to provide effective customer service and meet departmental requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively partners with other IT groups to deliver IT services
  • Work within a collaborative team structure providing basic support for Windows computer systems and other end user technologies
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Serve as the IT single point of contact for Associate technical inquiries for support
  • Provide front line technical support for Hollister’s computing environment
  • Effectively cooperate with other IT groups to support IT services

SKILLS

  • Ability to interface with Hollister suppliers and Hollister Associates globally
  • Remote global desktop support
  • Software and hardware support i.e., Windows OS support, PC troubleshooting
  • Capable of addressing customer related concerns effectively
  • Ability to read technical manuals, trade journals, procedural documentation
  • Ability to prioritize multiple IT issues
  • Technical knowledge of PC hardware and software
  • Understanding of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/TCPIP)
  • Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required
  • Developing problem solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time college student for the Fall semester following the assignment (Fall 2026)
  • Must be willing to work full-time on assignment for a minimum of 10 weeks
  • Upon acceptance and in accordance with Hollister’s policy, all LV Summer Interns will have to pass a standard background check and drug screen that will be initiated by Hollister

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00hr. The actual salary varies based on applicant's education, experience, and skills.
